This Week in Sport: 15th July − 21st July 2024
There are some exciting sporting events taking place around the world this week. The World Matchplay Darts moves into Day 3 of the tournament on Monday, the MLB All-Star game is on Tuesday, and Wednesday will see the deciding Game 3 of the State of Origin Series. The Open Championship begins on Thursday and England play the West Indies in Day 2 of 2nd Test on Friday.
Heading into the weekend, the Tour de France reaches its penultimate stage on Saturday, and the prestigious Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix takes place on Sunday.

The Betfred World Matchplay continues into its third day on Monday at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. Swedish sensation Ludvig Åberg is also seen as a strong contender this week.
Cricket in England: England v West Indies (2nd Test) Day 2

Friday will see England take on the West Indies in the second day of the 2nd Test at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. Tour de France: Tour de France Day 20

Sunday sees the thrilling Formula 1 season continue with the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest. Meanwhile, championship leader Max Verstappen finished second and extended his lead over nearest challenger Lando Norris to 84 points.
