The final day of the 2023 Ashes series takes place on Monday, with England needing to take 10 wickets in the day to win the Test and draw the series. Australia, on the other hand, will need another 249 runs to win the series outright. After a strong start to their innings, Australia look favourites to do this, however, in a series of twists and turns, it is hard to predict the outcome.

On Wednesday, hosts South Africa take on reigning champions New Zealand in the Stage Two Preliminary round of the tournament. Last edition’s winners, New Zealand, have enjoyed a strong tournament so far, and have won all their games to date, putting them top of their group. South Africa have had a mixed bag of results so far, experiencing a loss against Jamaica, so will be looking to show they can beat the best against a strong New Zealand side.

The knockout stages of the Women’s World Cup get underway on Saturday with the Round of 16, as Switzerland face Spain at Eden Park on Saturday. Switzerland, perhaps surprisingly, topped a tough group in the first stage, giving them confidence heading into this matchup. Spain, on the other hand, came into the tournament amongst the favourites, but their confidence will have taken a blow after losing heavily to Japan, which saw them lose out on top spot of their respective group.

On Sunday, the traditional curtain-raiser of the English football season, the FA Community Shield, will see treble winners Manchester City take on Arsenal for the first silverware of the season. Arsenal enjoyed a strong season last time out and with strong signings in the summer, will be looking to show they are ready to battle for the title once again. City will want to cement their position as the best side in England for the upcoming season, so we can be sure this will be an exciting matchup.
