This Week in Sport: 26th September − 2nd October 2022
The final week of September continues to provide world class sport for followers across the world.
The week starts with the Toronto Blue Jays taking on the New York Yankees which provides an opportunity for the travelling team to secure the AL East Division top spot. International football returns with the UEFA Nations League and Portugal versus Spain will be the pick of the games on Tuesday. Wednesday is the start of the T20 International series between India and South Africa.
Later in the week, links golf takes place at St Andrews and this will be hotly contested by some of the best golfers in the world. Ulster take on Leinster in the United Rugby Championship on Friday before the weekend sees some big derbys including Arsenal and Tottenham facing each other on Saturday.
Sunday may go down in the history books as the day Max Verstappen wins his second world championship in Singapore if everything goes in his favour.
