A stacked slate of sporting action lies ahead this week. The Indian Wells Open continues on Monday, with tennis’ biggest stars fighting for a place in the weekend’s Finals. PSG travels to Liverpool on Tuesday for the return leg of their Champions League Round of 16 matchup. On Wednesday, two of the form teams in the NBA face off as the Boston Celtics host the Oklahoma City Thunder. There’s premier golf action on Thursday as The PLAYERS Championship gets underway. On Friday, the Winnipeg Jets host the Dallas Stars in a must-see NHL clash.

Saturday sees the conclusion of the Six Nations, with France welcoming Scotland to Paris on the final day. And to close out the week, the 2025 F1 season gets underway with the Australian Grand Prix.

The Indian Wells Open continues beneath the sunny skies of the Coachella Valley, California this week. The men’s tournament has already been full of upsets, with Number 1 seed Alexander Zverev, Number 4 seed Casper Ruud, and Number 6 seed Novak Djokovic failing to make it past the second round. While the top women’s seeds have avoided the same fate, the competition will only continue to heat up before the Finals on Sunday.

UEFA Champions League: Liverpool v Paris Saint-Germain

After Harvey Elliott silenced the crowds in Paris, Liverpool enter the second leg of their Champions League tie against PSG leading 1-0 on aggregate. Meanwhile, PSG will be hoping for a comeback performance to ensure they can progress further; they will need to be at their very best.

NBA: Boston Celtics v Oklahoma City Thunder

Two of the very best teams in the NBA go head-to-head as the Boston Celtics host the Oklahoma City Thunder at TD Garden. The Thunder have a double-digit lead in the Western Conference while the Celtics – seeking to become the first team since 2018 to repeat as NBA champions – have a comfortable hold on the Eastern Conference’s second seed. In particular, the matchup pits two of the league’s top scorers against one another in the form of the Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Celtics’ Jayson Tatum.

PGA Tour: THE PLAYERS Championship

There is the chance for history on the links at Florida’s TPC Sawgrass as The PLAYERS Championship gets underway. World Number 1 and defending tournament champion Scottie Scheffler is seeking to become the first back-to-back-to-back winner in tournament history and the first three-time winner since Jack Nicklaus won his third title in 1978. It would also be the first back-to-back-to-back tournament win at any PGA event since 2011. However, the field will feature seven other previous winners, meaning that another title won’t come easy for Scheffler.

NHL: Winnipeg Jets v Dallas Stars

The Winnipeg Jets host the Dallas Stars in this NHL game between the top two teams in the Central Division of the Western Conference. While the Jets hold a solid lead over the Stars, results in matchups like this could be vital come the end of the season. The Jets are loaded with talent, boasting the league’s best goalie and two of the five top goalscorers. However, the Stars boast a well-rounded outfit that is top five in team goals for and team goals against this season. This should be a great match-up between two teams that are expected to make deep playoff runs.

Six Nations: France v Scotland

France will know exactly what they need to do when they kick off against Scotland in the final game of the 2025 Six Nations, taking place at the Stade de France. After demolishing Ireland on Saturday, France lead the Six Nations standings by one point as well as having a monumental points difference advantage. If either Ireland beat Italy or England beat Wales, France need to win to secure the title. However, Scotland come off a defiant victory against Wales and could play spoiler to the expectant French side.

Formula 1: Australian Grand Prix

The new Formula 1 season officially gets underway with the Australian Grand Prix. This race will be the first time that Lewis Hamilton officially suits up for Ferrari following his departure from Mercedes last year. Elsewhere, all eyes will be on whether anyone can stop Max Verstappen, who opens the season hunting for his fifth consecutive driver’s title. After coming close last year, can Lando Norris stop the Dutchman’s streak? Elsewhere, several Formula 2 drivers make the jump to Formula 1, including highly-anticipated drivers Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Isack Hadjar and Gabriel Bortoleto.
