The upcoming week is stacked with exciting sporting events. On Monday, the Florida Panthers host the Edmonton Oilers in Game 2 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals, the European Athletics Championships continues into its fifth day on Tuesday and Wednesday sees the Dallas Mavericks face the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. On Thursday, the U.S. Open golf begins, and Friday will see the start of UEFA European Football Championship.

Heading into the weekend, Chris Billam-Smith and Richard Riakporhe will compete to become the World Cruiserweight Champion on Saturday, and the week is rounded out by Serbia taking on England in the Euro 2024 on Sunday.

European Athletics Championships: European Athletics Championships 2024 Day 5

On Tuesday, the European Athletics Championships continues into its fifth day at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Tuesday will see the Men’s and Women’s 400m Hurdles Finals, Men’s Triple Jump Final, Women’s 200m Final and Women’s Javelin Final. Expect more record-breaking attempts and intense competition as the championships progress.

NBA: Dallas Mavericks v Boston Celtics

Wednesday will see exciting NBA action, as the Dallas Mavericks host the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the NBA Finals at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. The Celtics lead the series 2-0 and will try to move a step closer to their 18th championship but Dallas will have home advantge and will look to bounce back.

Major Championships (Golf): U.S. Open Day 1

The highly anticipated third golf major of the year, the U.S. Open, begins on Thursday at the Pinehurst No. 2 course. The last time it was held there in 2014, Martin Kaymer won the title. He’s back in the field this week, along with two-time U.S. Open winner Brooks Koepka and favourites Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele.

UEFA European Championship: Germany v Scotland

Allianz Arena, Munich

The UEFA European Football Championship kicks off on Friday as hosts Germany take on Scotland in the tournament’s opening game at the Allianz Arena in Munich. The hosts are seen as one of the favourites for the tournament and are expected to top the group and ease into the Round of 16 but second place is very much up for grabs and Scotland will fancy their chances.

Boxing Fights: Chris Billam-Smith v Richard Riakporhe

Selhurst Park, London

On Saturday, Chris Billam-Smith will be looking to avenge his only career defeat when he takes on Richard Riakporhe at Selhurst Park in London. Billam-Smith will be defending his World Cruiserweight Title for the second time since dethroning Lawrence Okolie, having ousted Mateusz Masternak in eight rounds last December.

UEFA European Championship: Serbia v England

Rounding out the week, England begin their quest to win a first European Championship against Serbia on Sunday at Arena AufSchalke in Gelsenkirchen. Serbia will be heading into this game on the back of some mixed results in recent times, while England will look to get their campaign off to a winning start and prove their current crop of players are the real deal.
