There are some great sporting events taking place around the world this week. The New York Yankees takes on the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3 of the MLB World Series on Monday, the ATP Paris Masters continues on Tuesday, Tottenham Hotspur battle Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, the West Indies play England in the first game of a three-match ODI series on Thursday, and the Minnesota Timberwolves face the Denver Nuggets in NBA action on Friday.

Going into the weekend, England host New Zealand in the Autumn Nations Series on Saturday, and the Formula 1 season heads to Brazil on Sunday.

MLB: New York Yankees v Los Angeles Dodgers

The New York Yankees will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday in Game 3 of the MLB World Series at Yankee Stadium. The Dodgers head to New York with a 2-0 lead but they potentially could be without their talisman Shohei Ohtani who sustained a left shoulder injury in Game 2. Meanwhile, the Yankees face an uphill battle and will need a strong performance in the next two home games to stay in contention.

ATP Tour: Paris Masters Day 2

The ATP 1000 Paris Masters will continue into Day 2 on Tuesday at Accor Arena. Defending champion and tournament record-holder Novak Djokovic withdrew from the event and in his absence, all eyes will be on Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz but they will face tough competition from Alexander Zverev and Daniil Medvedev.

Carabao Cup: Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London

Wednesday will see Tottenham Hotspur play Manchester City in the Carabao Cup at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Tottenham will look to make amends after a 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace on Sunday in the league. City, on the other hand, are still unbeaten in all competitions and will aim to keep their streak alive.

Cricket in the West Indies: West Indies v England (1st ODI)

Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Saint George

The West Indies will host England in a three-match ODI series, with the first match set to begin on Thursday at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Saint George on the island of Antigua. Following the ODIs, the two teams will face off in a five-match T20 series starting on November 9th.

NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves v Denver Nuggets

Friday sees the Minnesota Timberwolves face off against the Denver Nuggets in an exciting NBA clash at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The Timberwolves will aim to secure a home victory and climb the standings, while the Nuggets, still searching for their first win of the season, currently sit at the bottom of the Western Conference and will be desperate for victory.

Autumn Nations Series: England v New Zealand

Twickenham Stadium, London

The Autumn Nations Series will be in full swing on Saturday with England hosting New Zealand at Twickenham Stadium in London. This will be the third meeting this year between the two teams, with the All Blacks winning 16-15 and 24-17 in the previous games. Both sides will give their all for victory and it should be a great game.

Formula 1: Brazilian Grand Prix

Interlagos, São Paulo

On Sunday, the Formula 1 season heads to São Paulo for the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos. Carlos Sainz won the Mexico Grand Prix on Sunday and sits 5th in the standings. Championship leader Max Verstappen received a 20-second penalty in Mexico, allowing Lando Norris, who finished second in the race, to close the gap by 10 points and now trails by 47 points with four races to go.
