This Week in Sport: 25th July − 31st July 2022
The final week of July is full of exciting sporting action for fans across the world to enjoy. On Monday, the Tour de France Femmes continues as riders take on a 136.4km flat stage. The following day, England go head-to-head with Sweden with both teams hoping to secure a spot in the Final of the Women’s Euros. Wednesday marks the start of a three match T20 series between England and South Africa.
Later in the week, on Thursday, the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony takes place at the Alexander Stadium, with the ceremony marking the start of 12 days of action. The next day, some of the world’s best golfers will head to New Jersey to compete in the third event of the new and controversial LIV series.
There is no shortage of sport taking place at the weekend either. Saturday will see the women’s Bantamweight Championship rematch between current champion Julianna Peña and former champion Amanda Nunes headline UFC 277. Finally, on Sunday, the winner of the UEFA Women’s Euros will be crowned at Wembley.

Stage 2 of the Tour de France Femmes will see the 142 riders tackle a 136.4km flat stage between Meaux and Provins. Dutch rider Lorena Wiebes will be hoping to stay at the front after winning the first stage by just 4 seconds.

UEFA European Women's Championship: England v Sweden

After a drama filled Quarter-final against Spain last week, England will go up against Sweden in the Semifinals of the Women’s Euros.
